Good to know

• What's the dress code?

  Formal. Vere will be wearing a morning suit. Hats are welcome but not required.

• What are my transport options?

  A coach leaves Hammersmith on Saturday morning and returns from Old Hill Farm at midnight — tick the box when you RSVP and we'll keep you a seat both ways. A shuttle runs to New Place Hotel at midnight, complimentary and with no need to book.

  Otherwise it is the train to Botley and a taxi, or your own car. All three are on the travel page, with the taxi numbers.

• Where can I park?

  There are several public car parks around Bishop's Waltham for the ceremony, all a 5–10 minute walk from St Peter's Church.

  • Lower Lane SO32 1RZA popular public car park just a short walk.
  • Jubilee Hall SO32 1EDOffers free short-stay parking.
  • Bishop's Waltham Palace SO32 1SBParking near the historic palace ruins.
  • Basingwell Street SO32 1PAA smaller car park close to the High Street.
  • Priory Park SO32 1SQSlightly further out, but often quieter.

  They do get busy, so we recommend travelling together and sharing cars where you can.

  After the ceremony, make your way on to Old Hill Farm — there will be clear signs at the entrance on the day. There is a field for parking, and you can leave your car there overnight and collect it on the Sunday.

• Where can we stay?

  There are rooms within a couple of miles, and more in Winchester, twenty minutes away. The map and addresses are here. Book early.

• How do I RSVP?

  Use the form. It asks who is coming, about the coach, and anything the caterer should know. RSVP here.

• Is there a gift list?

  Having you there is the greatest gift.
